DESCRIPTION
Amazon's Global Trade Services (GTS) organization owns, develops, and implements global policies, standards, solutions, and best practices for cross-border compliance. We partner with business and operations stakeholders to integrate trade requirements into upstream processes as preventative controls, mitigating downstream compliance risk before it materializes. We are seeking a Risk Manager with deep expertise in trade analytics, optimization, and trade instruments. You will quantify the business impact of evolving trade regulations and partner with teams to design operational frameworks that leverage trade mechanisms to reduce cost exposure while enabling their strategic objectives. Key job responsibilities Translate the impacts of new trade guidelines, tariff changes, and regulatory developments into concrete, quantifiable business impact to Amazon Develop end-to-end data traceability from sourcing through customs to fulfillment and financial reporting Design scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and trade-off evaluation frameworks to support strategic trade decisions; surface risks and opportunities to leadership with exposure assessments and recommendations Partner with business organizations to influence trade strategy and sourcing decisionsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent Experience handling confidential informationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials Experience with SQL and Excel Working knowledge of trade instruments and ability to distill regulatory developments (e.g., Section 301/232, AD/CVD, executive orders) into actionable recommendations for non-trade stakeholders Experience modeling the financial impact of trade policy shifts — landed cost, duty exposure, scenario analysis Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
