Role Overview:
This role is centered on helping people achieve financial confidence through thoughtful lending, personalized guidance, and exceptional service. At Good Neighbors, lending isn't just about approving or denying loan applications. It's about understanding each member's unique circumstances, educating them on their options, and finding responsible solutions that strengthen both the member and our cooperative. This role is a strong fit for people who are excited to redefine what banking can be. If you're just looking for the next traditional lending position, we're probably not the right fit. We're looking for someone who believes that exceptional service starts with listening, leads with empathy, and leaves every member feeling informed, respected, and supported. Each day, you'll evaluate approximately 10 to 15 lending requests using sound judgment and Good Neighbors' unique lending philosophy. You'll look beyond credit scores to understand each member's full financial picture. You'll help grow our lending portfolio by identifying thoughtful, responsible lending solutions that benefit both our members and our cooperative. You'll make informed lending decisions that reflect our mission and values while maintaining delinquency levels within our established risk tolerance. Most importantly, you'll serve as a trusted financial resource for our members. Whether you're celebrating wins, helping someone navigate a financial challenge, or delivering a difficult lending decision, you'll take the time to educate, guide, and support them with patience, professionalism, and genuine care. Every interaction is an opportunity to build trust and leave someone feeling more confident than when they walked through our doors. You'll also maintain accurate department documentation, confidently navigate our lending systems and technology, and provide outstanding service over the phone and in person. Your attention to detail and commitment to personalized service will help ensure every member experiences what it means to bank with Good Neighbors.
