Purpose:
The Bilingual Consumer Lending Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting members (English and Spanish) with their lending needs while also working toward each member's unique version of prosperity by analyzing credit reports, cross-selling beneficial products, and identifying opportunities to improve members' financial well-being. This role requires the ability to have consultative and, at times, challenging conversations regarding underwriting decisions while focusing on what can be done to help members achieve their financial goals. The ideal candidate will thrive working in a centralized team, engaging members through video, phone, email, and call center channels. This role would be eligible for a hybrid schedule after the successful completion of training.
Key Responsibilities:
Interview members to understand their loan needs and financial status. Analyze credit reports and assess lending risks. Prepare and review loan documents for accuracy and compliance. Clearly explain loan terms and underwriting decisions. Recommend financial products that align with members' goals. Stay current on lending trends and regulations. Collaborate with collections and follow up on existing loans. Cross-sell credit union products and services. Manage multiple loan applications while maintaining service excellence.

Experience:
1-3 years of related financial service experience is required.

Ability to explain financial concepts clearly and supportively.

Skilled at identifying tailored financial solutions.
