Job Description

Key Responsibilities Serve as the company's Licensed Customs Broker of record for entries filed with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Review and approve customs entries, tariff classifications, and duty calculations prepared by the entry writing team. Supervise, train, and mentor entry writers, and provide day to day direction and quality control for the team. Act as the primary point of contact for escalated or complex classification, valuation, and compliance issues. Monitor changes in customs regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule updates, trade agreements, and CBP rulings, and update internal procedures accordingly. Conduct periodic audits of entries and internal recordkeeping to confirm accuracy and compliance with CBP requirements. Liaise with CBP, other government agencies, and internal stakeholders on entry issues, audits, and compliance matters. Maintain recordkeeping in accordance with CBP regulations. Support development, review, and training on standard operating procedures related to customs brokerage. Support hiring, performance reviews, and scheduling for the entry writing team. Qualifications Active U.S. Customs Broker License required. Minimum 5 years of experience and working knowledge in customs brokerage required. Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity required. Strong knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, CBP regulations, and free trade agreements. Cargowise, Descartes, NetCHB experience preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Able to work on site at one of the listed locations. This role can be based in office at our New Hyde Park, NY, Chicago, Los Angeles, or San Francisco locations

From $20.00 per hour
