Job Description
Job Overview We are a 65-year-old premier, well-established wholesale distributor with warehouses in New York and Florida, 21 stores located in New York, New Jessey, Connecticut and Florida, Online sales presence and 50 Direct Sales Consultants covering the east coast. We are seeking a Corporate Controller with a minimum of 15 years progressive accounting leadership experience. You will oversee all financial, accounting, and administrative operations. This role ensures robust cash management, multi-state tax compliance, and seamless office administration. You will report directly to the executive team and manage a dedicated staff. Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Prepare accurate monthly financial statements. Prepare accurate monthly cashflow statements. Manage the month-end closing process. Analyze variances and financial trends. Coordinate annual external reviews and tax filings. Supervise HR Department and weekly payroll. Cash management, cash flow forecasting, and maintaining banking relationships. Prepare quarterly bank covenants. Experienced in system conversion. Experienced in vetting contract agreements. This is a Hands-On position. Multi-State Tax & Compliance Oversee multi-state sales tax compliance. Manage e-commerce tax nexus tracking. Ensure accurate tax filing schedules. Store Operations & Leases Monitor store-level finances. Manage corporate commercial lease agreements. Coordinate facility and store maintenance. Licensing & Administration Secure city and municipal licenses. Renew required local and multi-state operating permits. Manage insurance policies and renewals.
