We are partnering with a profitable, global company in their search for their Head of Accounting. The Head of Accounting reports directly to the CFO and has responsibility for A-Z accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company and make an impact. Head of Accounting Core Responsibilities:

Manage the general ledger and monthly/quarterly/annual close process Preparation of consolidated financial statements including Fx Coordination of the annual audit and tax filings M&A accounting due diligence and integration of acquisitions into the core company Manage and mentor a team of professionals in Houston and beyond Key team member for system implementations and upgrades Identify and implement Best Practices and process improvements Other ad hoc projects and responsibilities as they arise

Head of Accounting Required Credentials and Experience:

CPA is required Master of Accounting/MBA or other advanced degree is desirable, but not required 8-10+ years of accounting experience with a mid-sized to large global company Public accounting experience is highly desirable Experience with the core responsibilities listed above: Monthly close, oversight of audit & tax filings, M&A activity, preparation of consolidated financial statements, minimum 2 years of management experience with a medium-to-large team, other experience.
