Sr. Financial Analyst

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join an office in Colorado for a contract assignment expected to last 2-3 months. This role is well suited for someone in finance who can turn complex data into clear business insights and support informed decision-making across a range of financial priorities. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, advanced modeling capability, and the ability to deliver high-quality analysis in a fast-paced consulting-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop financial models that support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic decision-making across business activities.
• Examine operating results and budget performance to identify key variances, trends, and underlying business drivers.
• Perform detailed ad hoc analysis to address time-sensitive financial questions and leadership requests.
• Extract, organize, and interpret large data sets to uncover patterns, risks, and opportunities that influence performance.
• Evaluate profitability across initiatives, business segments, or revenue streams to support resource allocation decisions.
• Assess pricing outcomes and revenue behavior to help improve financial performance and business planning.
• Monitor resource utilization and provide analysis that helps leadership balance efficiency with business needs.
• Prepare clear reports and presentations that translate financial findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders. Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related analytical role.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, variance review, and profitability assessment.
• Strong ability to conduct ad hoc financial analysis and synthesize conclusions from complex information.
• Experience using data mining techniques to work with large or detailed financial data sets.
• Proven understanding of pricing analysis, revenue evaluation, and performance measurement.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial reporting tools or similar analytical systems.
• Ability to communicate financial insights clearly and effectively to cross-functional stakeholders.
