Role Description The Dental Financial Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Enfield, CT. This role is responsible for managing patient accounts, including verifying insurance coverage, preparing treatment cost estimates, and discussing financial options with patients in a clear and respectful manner. Day-to-day tasks include processing payments, handling billing and collections, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records within practice management systems. The Dental Financial Coordinator works closely with the clinical and front-desk teams to ensure that financial information is up to date, supports scheduling and treatment planning, and aligns with practice policies. This role also involves responding to patient inquiries, coordinating with insurance companies, and identifying opportunities to improve financial workflows and reporting. Qualifications Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with the ability to manage patient accounts and practice finances accurately. Experience with Financial Reporting and Budgeting to support monitoring of practice performance and resource planning. Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend process improvements. Proficiency with practice management or billing software, Eagle Soft Software knowledge preferred and general computer skills, (e.g., Excel, email, electronic records). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for discussing treatment costs and payment options with patients in a clear, empathetic manner. High level of attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in dental or medical billing, insurance verification, or a similar healthcare financial role is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is an asset.
