$105,000 - $115,000 per year Job Details - We are seeking a dynamic and experienced NPD (New Product Development) Financial Analyst to join our innovative finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who is passionate about driving financial performance through detailed analysis and strategic insights. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the financial planning and analysis of our new product development initiatives, ensuring their financial viability and profitability.
Responsibilities:
As an NPD Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for: 1. Conducting financial analysis and modeling for new product development projects, including cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis, payback analysis, and profit and loss (P&L) forecasting. 2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop financial strategies for new products, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives. 3. Providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes in the NPD pipeline. 4. Tracking and analyzing product costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to determine product profitability. 5. Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial indicators, trends, and performance metrics. 6. Participating in the budgeting and forecasting processes, incorporating NPD financial projections. 7. Identifying financial risks and opportunities related to new product developments, proposing mitigation strategies when necessary. 8. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards in all NPD financial operations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or an MBA would be a plus. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment. 3. Proven experience in CVP analysis, payback analysis, and P&L forecasting. 4. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. 5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner. 6. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically. 8. A keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. 9. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
