About the
Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting & FP&A Analyst to join our growing finance team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both accounting and financial planning & analysis functions within a publicly traded company. The successful candidate will play a key role in month-end close activities, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis. This role is ideal for an individual looking to broaden their experience and develop a career path toward senior finance, FP&A, or accounting leadership positions. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with revenue recognition analyses and supporting documentation. Maintain and reconcile fixed asset, prepaid, accrual, and inventory-related accounts. Support preparation of SEC reporting schedules and audit workpapers. Financial Planning & Analysis Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and identify key business drivers. Prepare financial models and operational analyses to support management decision-making. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), profitability, and cash flow trends. Support sales and gross margin reporting and analysis. Inventory & Operations Analysis Assist with inventory reconciliations and inventory reserve analyses. Analyze inventory movement, obsolescence trends, and excess stock levels. Support working capital management initiatives and operational efficiency projects. Sales & Commission Administration Calculate and maintain sales commission schedules. Review sales transactions for accuracy and compliance with commission plans. Prepare commission reports and supporting analysis for management review. Audit, Board & Corporate Support Assist with external audit requests and preparation of audit support documentation. Prepare schedules and analysis for quarterly reviews and year-end audits. Support the preparation of board reporting packages and management presentations. Participate in special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analyses. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-4 years of accounting, finance, audit, or FP&A experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. Public company or audit experience. Knowledge of US GAAP financial reporting. Experience with manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting environments. What Success Looks Like Within the first 12 months, the successful candidate will: Take ownership of assigned account reconciliations and close activities. Become a key contributor to budgeting and forecasting processes. Support quarterly audit and SEC reporting requirements. Provide meaningful financial insights to management through analysis and reporting. Help improve finance processes and reporting efficiency across the organization. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
