Who We Are The University of Michigan Investment Office is responsible for directing and overseeing the investment of the University's $22+ billion of financial reserves, which includes the 9th largest university endowment. The Investment Office staff works with many of the top investment managers globally to provide the financial resources necessary to ensure the long-term success of one of the world's great teaching and research institutions. Job Summary The Investment Office at the University of Michigan is seeking a full-time intern to join our team on-site for Summer 2026. You will refine and strengthen your skills in finance and investing, data analysis, and project management. Responsibilities• Provide support with quantitative and qualitative analyses across the Marketable Assets portfolio (long-only public equity, hedge funds, credit-oriented investments, etc.) Conduct general market research in different strategies within the Marketable Assets portfolio Attend external investment manager meetings The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position Required Qualifications• Pursuing an undergraduate degree, with a demonstrated interest in accounting, finance, economics, investing, or business management Conceptualize and present quantitative and qualitative information Multi-task and prioritize work with the ability to work independently Team-oriented Attention to detail Experience with Microsoft Suite Maintain strict confidentiality requirements Modes of Work Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
