Job Description

We are currently searching for a Summer Analyst Intern to join our Investment Management and Capital Markets Teams at our Corporate Headquarters in Vienna, VA. Our Analyst Internship Program focuses on providing our participants the opportunities to collaborate with and learn directly from the Middleburg senior and executive leadership teams through our 8-10 week paid rotational program. The program is positioned within Investment Management and will be working directly with all of Middleburg's business divisions including investments, capital markets, acquisitions, property management, and development. This exceptional program provides broad hands-on exposure to several aspects of the Multifamily real estate industry at one of the region's top-performing firms. You can expect that no two days will be the same and each day will provide a new opportunity to truly learn about all facets of our business and provide critical support.
Role Responsibilities Overview:
Build financial models using Excel to evaluate historical & future data projections on financial performance for investment management team; Provide underwriting support for prospective acquisition & development ventures using excel models for investment strategy review; Create investment offering memorandums & assist in preparing investor presentations & reports for the capital markets team; Perform property due diligence & market research for the asset management team; Conduct comprehensive analysis on performance for critical operating activities like leasing & renewals to assist the property management teams. Knowledge & Experience Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's program in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related program required at an accredited college or university Desire to learn all aspects of real estate industry to accelerate your development & learning to build your career upon. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including building models & data analysis. Excellent written & oral communication & presentation skills using MS Word & PowerPoint Strong time management skills, including the ability to multitask & meet deadlines in a timely manner.
