As the company continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to join our team and help strengthen our accounting operations and financial processes. This is an important role for someone who can manage day-to-day accounting, improve financial processes, and work closely with management to provide accurate and timely financial information. Job Overview The Accounting Manager will oversee the company's accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, reconciliations, general ledger activities, and accounting team management . The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of accounting responsibilities, identify problems, and work proactively with other departments to resolve them. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable & Collections Oversee daily AR operations, including customer invoices, payments, and account reconciliations. Monitor customer balances, aging reports, and outstanding receivables. Manage retailer chargebacks, deductions, and payment discrepancies. Review weekly customer remittances and ensure payments are properly recorded. Coordinate with customers and internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues. Monitor receivable-related claims and other payment-related matters. Help improve collection processes and reduce outstanding receivables. Accounts Payable Oversee AP, including vendor invoices, bills, credits, and payment processing. Review and approve payments in accordance with company procedures. Monitor vendor account balances and resolve discrepancies. Oversee credit card transactions and receipt reconciliation. Coordinate with the payroll team on payroll-related accounting matters. Assist with bank reconciliations. Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports. Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are properly recorded. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Work with external accountants and auditors as needed. Help ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and up to date. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiency. Analyze financial results, trends, and variances and provide insights to management. Prepare and present financial information and key accounting metrics to management. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis. Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls to help ensure accuracy and minimize financial risk. Ensure accounting practices and records comply with applicable accounting standards and company policies. Team Management & Cross-Department Support Supervise and support accounting team members. Assign responsibilities, monitor deadlines, and ensure work is completed accurately. Review accounting work and provide guidance when needed. Train, develop, and provide performance feedback to accounting team members. Work closely with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve financial issues. Help establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures. Support management with financial analysis and special projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience , with experience managing accounting operations. Experience with AR, AP, general ledger, and financial reporting . Experience managing or supervising accounting staff. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes. Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. Experience in e-commerce, retail, or distribution is a plus.
