A well-established manufacturing company in Colorado Springs is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee the organization's accounting function. This is an individual contributor role with significant autonomy and visibility, ideal for someone who enjoys owning the accounting process from start to finish and partnering directly with company leadership. Position OverviewAs the Accounting Manager, you will serve as the primary accounting professional for the organization and be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This is a highly visible role that requires a hands-on approach and the ability to manage a wide range of accounting responsibilities independently.
ResponsibilitiesManage high-volume Accounts Payable processingCreate and manage Purchase OrdersMaintain vendor relationships and vendor management activitiesOversee cash management functionsHandle Accounts Receivable activities (minimal collections responsibilities)Process payroll through PaychexCoordinate new hire onboarding activitiesPrepare journal entriesPerform General Ledger reconciliationsLead the month-end close processPrepare monthly financial statementsSupport compliance-related activitiesAdminister company insurance programsManage inventory accountingPerform project-based cost accountingSupport percentage-of-completion revenue recognitionWork closely with the company's external CPA firm, which handles year-end tax work and filingsWhat Makes This Opportunity Unique?
