full-time The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and leading the month-end close process. This role manages a team of accounting professionals and serves as a key partner to finance and operational leaders to support the company's continued growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Close Process Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances. Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts. Team Leadership Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Senior Accountants and Staff Accountants. Establish performance expectations and conduct performance reviews. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development. Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting. Support external audits and coordinate requests from auditors. Assist with SOX compliance activities, if applicable. Operational Accounting Oversee fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, leases, payroll accounting, and cash reconciliations. Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items. Partner with AP, AR, and Treasury teams to ensure operational efficiency. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Support ERP implementations, system upgrades, and automation initiatives. Develop and document accounting policies and procedures. Business Partnership Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership on reporting and analysis. Support budgeting, forecasting, and special projects. Provide management with financial insights to support business decisions. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred. 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience. 2-5 years of management or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of US GAAP. Experience managing month-end close for a mid-sized or large organization. Advanced Excel skills. Preferred Experience in a company with $250M+ revenue. Public accounting background (Big 4 or national firm preferred). Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday. SOX compliance experience.
