Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to provide accounting and financial support for two of our Florida properties: Sailport Waterfront Suites in Tampa and Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites in Treasure Island. This is a hands-on, in-office position supporting the day-to-day accounting functions and financial performance of both properties. The Accounting Manager will work closely with property leadership and Corporate while overseeing key accounting processes, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and condo unit owner accounting.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include, but are not limited to: Code, review, and process accounts payable invoices Manage daily cash functions, including preparing bank deposits and maintaining cash tracking spreadsheets Analyze property financial performance, including P&L review and variance analysis Assist with annual budget preparation, monthly forecasting, and financial planning Assist with condo unit owner accounting and owner statementsPartner with Corporate Finance to prepare supporting schedules for monthly financial statements Maintain and monitor property inventories Supervise and support accounting team members Assist with additional accounting, reporting, and administrative projects as assigned
Qualifications:
What are we looking for? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred 2-4 years of related accounting experience required, preferably within the hotel, resort, or hospitality industry Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems, with advanced proficiency in Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with property and corporate teams Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred What can you look forward to?
