Part-Time Finance Administrator Job Summary A faith-based organization is seeking a detail-oriented part-time Finance Administrator to oversee day-to-day financial administration and support accurate financial records, reporting, and stewardship of organization resources. Reporting to the Executive Pastor, this role works closely with the Finance Team, ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers to support budgeting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, donor records, financial reporting, and other financial operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial accuracy, sound judgment, confidentiality, integrity, and the ability to work independently within a ministry environment. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, journal entries, reconciliations, credit card transactions, and other financial transactions. Process weekly collections and donations, maintain donor records, and prepare annual giving statements and reports for designated and restricted funds. Prepare monthly financial reports, monitor budget variances, and assist with annual budget development and administration. Administer payroll, staff benefits, and related tax, year-end, and financial reporting requirements. Maintain accurate financial records and support year-end close, external accounting, financial reviews, and audits as applicable. Collaborate with the Executive Pastor, Finance Team, and ministry leaders to support financial operations, budgets, and responsible stewardship. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls and communicate significant discrepancies or concerns as appropriate.

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Position type: Part-time, evaluation hire Qualifications Relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or financial administration; five or more years preferred. Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop; QuickBooks Online experience preferred. Experience with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, and account reconciliation preferred. Associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Nonprofit, church, or fund accounting experience, including donor and designated fund reporting, preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Demonstrated integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial, employee, and donor information. We value your privacy!
