SUMMARY:
The Accounting/Operations Manager will be responsible for oversight of all accounting functions for the firm including payroll, cash management, trust accounting, client billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month end close. Partner with executive director to oversee the day-to-day operations including vendor management, human resources, reception and facilities.

Accounting/Payroll Manager:
- Manage two accounting associates to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions and accounting data.
- Process all payroll cycles in Paylocity for bi-weekly, monthly draws and bonuses.
- Ensure all client trust funds are properly handled, safeguarded and accounted for.
- Partner with attorneys and legal administrators to ensure accurate client billing.
- Work across the organization to resolve escalated issues.
- Process and audit all vendor payments from QuickBooks.
- Manage general ledger system to ensure accurate reporting.
- Perform account analysis and account reconciliations.
- Lead timely completion of month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
- Serve as backup to other team members of the accounting department.
- Strive to be the LEAP Accounting subject matter expert.
- Ensure all Firm policies and procedures are followed.

Operations:
- Backup to executive director when she is unavailable or out of office.
- Partner with executive director on terminations and off boarding employees.
- Oversee vendor contracts, invoices and relationships.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with executive director on special projects.
- Proactively seeks out ways to improve processes, accuracy and drive efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 7+ years of accounting experience, management and operations experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/business administration or relevant work experience.
- Experience in QuickBooks Online and LEAP preferred.
- Advanced computer skills and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization.
- Work independently and successfully as a team member.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, and an ability to perform under pressure.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.
- Ability to comply with all policies and procedures in Employee Handbook.
