Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance team and oversee all aspects of accounting operations. This pivotal role involves ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with regulatory frameworks, and a passion for mentoring team members. As an Accounting Manager, you will drive accuracy in financial statements, streamline accounting processes, and support strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis. Duties Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and other regulatory frameworks such as Securities law and governmental accounting standards. Lead the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy. Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable management, payroll processing, and general ledger activities using financial software like Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems. Conduct financial analysis including cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting to support strategic planning. Mentor and develop team members by providing guidance on technical accounting issues. Handle sensitive confidential information with integrity while ensuring adherence to compliance standards across all financial activities. Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility. Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Must have good work ethic and integrity, dependable, adaptable, cooperative, and motivated. Construction accounting experience preferred. Experience with Canopy, ADP, Gusto, QuickBooks or similar ERP/payroll systems is a plus. Join us as an Accounting Manager to lead our finance operations with enthusiasm and precision! Pay:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
