Job Description:

Our client, a Japanese industrial equipment manufacturer, is searching for an Accounting Manager to join their team.

Loveland, OH or Totowa, NJ Hybrid 3 days in office

Salary:

$84k+ (DOE)

Responsibilities:

Manage month-end and year-end close processes and prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Oversee manufacturing accounting activities including cost accounting, inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting activities. Monitor inventory accuracy, fixed assets, and production-related financial data. Maintain internal controls and assist with SOX compliance, audit coordination, and preparation of supporting audit documentation. Work closely with operations, procurement, sales, and leadership teams to support business and plant operations. Use ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and JD Edwards along with advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis. Analyze financial results, margins, and cost trends to support business decisions and cost improvement efforts. In charge of supervising and leading 3-4 accounting team members Communicate and report to group company branches

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent knowledge or experience preferred. 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and cost accounting. Experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and manufacturing operations. Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or JD Edwards, along with advanced Excel skills. Experience supporting audits, internal controls, SOX compliance, and preparation of audit documentation.
