We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a highly respected nonprofit organization focused on promoting health and well-being. The Accounting Manager will oversee key accounting and financial reporting functions, support organizational leadership, and play an important role in providing accurate and timely financial information to management and the Board. Solid overall benefits package with additional details to follow. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Manage the monthly and annual financial close processes. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and schedules. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and general ledger activity. Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies and procedures. Support the annual audit and preparation of required financial schedules. Prepare financial information and presentations for senior leadership and the Board. Partner with leadership on financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, nonprofit requirements, and organizational policies. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and efficiency. Provide guidance and support to accounting staff as needed. Take on special projects and other financial initiatives that contribute to the organization's continued growth and success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Prior experience with financial statement preparation, month-end close, budgeting, and general ledger accounting. Nonprofit accounting experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture. CPA or CPA-track experience is a plus. #
