Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours | Onsite Position Summary A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support accurate, timely financial reporting. This role will manage General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and month-end close activities while providing leadership to the accounting team. The Accounting Manager will also partner with operational teams, maintain strong internal controls, support audits and compliance requirements, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions. Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses. Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and financial statements. Oversee inventory accounting, fixed assets, and manufacturing-related accounting activities. Monitor cash collections, vendor payments, and working capital. Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies. Identify and implement accounting process improvements. Support ERP system enhancements and optimization. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special finance projects. Manage employee travel and expense activity through the company's expense management platform. Record and reconcile payroll journal entries and related accounts. Manage required census and regulatory filings. Partner with operations and other departments to support business performance and financial objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience. 2+ years of supervisory or management experience. Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred. Experience working with ERP systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience overseeing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger functions. Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
