Position Summary:
The Automotive Finance Manager is responsible for securing financing for customers, structuring deals, and presenting financial products in a compliant, transparent, and profitable manner. This role bridges the gap between the sales department and financial institutions while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Present and sell finance and insurance (F&I) products including extended warranties, GAP insurance, service contracts, and protection packages Secure financing through a network of lenders while obtaining the most competitive approvals for customers Structure deals to maximize profitability while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and dealership regulations Ensure all paperwork is accurate, complete, and processed in a timely manner Maintain strong relationships with banks, credit unions, and financial institutions Review and verify customer credit applications and financial data Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements (FTC, Truth in Lending, etc.) Work closely with the sales team to finalize deals and maintain deal flow efficiency Achieve monthly performance targets for product penetration and profit per deal Provide a high level of customer service and build trust during the finance process
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Automotive Finance Manager or in a dealership F&I role preferred Strong knowledge of automotive financing, lending practices, and compliance regulations Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profit goals Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and CRM tools
