Design Consultants are responsible for delivering an exceptional customer service experience from the moment a customer sets foot in our store through the delivery of their purchases. In this collaborative role, you are creating lasting relationships while assisting clients with the selection, customization, and purchase of special pieces to make their house a home. In this retail sales role, Design Consultants have the ability to support clients' needs as well as connect with the Charleston community. The role blends retail sales, client service, and merchandising awareness to ensure the store runs seamlessly, and every visitor feels welcomed and inspired. While this role reports to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, they will work independently or alongside other design consultant on most projects. This full-time position includes required availability to work a flexible work schedule (days, weekends, & holidays if required to meet the needs of the business). Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds. Essential Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers with warmth, attentiveness, and product knowledge
• Participate in store events, brand activations, and special installations
• Assist with store merchandising, restocking, and presentation of the sales floor
• Add customers to delivery schedule after they have paid
• Carry each sale to the finish line
• i.e. coordinating delivery, writing thank you notes, following up to see how things look in their space
• Stay current on email communication with staff and customers
• Communicate clearly with the team regarding orders, client needs, and inventory questions
• Ensure all items are accurately stickered and tagged daily
• Stay current with product knowledge and attend trainings as scheduled Education & Experience
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• Previous retail/customer service experience preferred
• Previous Interior Design Experience preferred
• Must be an organized, detailed oriented, and honest
• Ability to communicate clearly, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math
• Ability to work weekends
• Computer literacy (email, excel, word, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and problem solve Hours Full Time, 36-40 hrs Compensation & Benefits

Required to utilize step ladders to perform various duties, throughout store. (i.e. helping retrieve merchandise from shelves, racks, etc.) Maybe be expected to preform various tasks as directed not mentioned above.
