Job Description

Accounting Manager Overview Responsible for financial control, accounting operations, internal controls, and financial reporting for a vertically integrated heavy civil construction company. Oversee accounting staff and ensure timely and accurate job cost, contract reporting, and financial data Accounting Manager Responsibilities Oversee monthly close, financial statements, and general ledger accuracy Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and financial reporting standards Produce financial reports analyzing profitability, costs, and asset utilization Oversee job cost accounting and project cost reporting Establish and enforce accounting internal controls Supervise accounting staff and office financial workflows Review and authorize purchase orders and invoices Manage bank reconciliations and financial record integrity Coordinate external audits and provide supporting documentation Accounting Manager Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 3+ years accounting experience Minimum 3+ years experience supervising accounting staff Experience with construction ERPs such as Foundation, Sage 300, or similar Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical and financial reporting ability Ability to perform with speed and precision while maintaining strict accuracy
