This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven accounting professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership capabilities and a commitment to operational excellence. The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing the month-end close process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and developing a high-performing accounting team. Position Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, general ledger management, budgeting support, and internal controls. This individual will work closely with leadership to provide financial insights and ensure the integrity of the organization's financial information. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Operations Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all financial records. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial results and provide meaningful recommendations to leadership. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts. Assist with cash flow management and financial planning activities. Support executive leadership with reporting and strategic decision-making. Leadership & Team Development Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff. Establish priorities, delegate responsibilities, and monitor team performance. Promote a collaborative, accountable, and results-oriented work environment. Provide training and guidance on accounting policies, procedures, and best practices. Compliance & Internal Controls Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial processes. Coordinate external audits and support requests from auditors and regulatory agencies. Ensure compliance with tax reporting and other financial obligations. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce financial risk. Process Improvement Evaluate and enhance accounting workflows and procedures. Support ERP and accounting system improvements and implementations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy. Partner with cross-functional departments to improve financial processes and controls. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. 2+ years of accounting leadership, supervisory, or management experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation. Advanced reconciliation, general ledger, and financial analysis skills. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar platforms. Budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning experience. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, construction, or other complex operational environments. Audit experience, either public accounting or audit coordination.
