Job Description

About the Role The FP&A Finance Manager for Precor and Peloton Commercial oversees the rhythm of the business for our core finance processes, including monthly close, the annual operating plan, CapEx spending, and our long-range financial plan, leveraging each of those cycles as a decision-making moment rather than a reporting exercise. This position reports to the Senior Director of FP&A and is a storytelling role as much as a planning role; the successful candidate will turn close results and forecast movements into a clear, credible narrative that connects performance to drivers, risks, and the choices in front of leadership. This role is instrumental in leveraging the operating rhythm as an engine for growth, helping the business prioritize the investments that matter most. This is a leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable in the mechanics and the message. The successful candidate brings strong business partnering instincts, the credibility to influence senior stakeholders when the answer is unpopular, the ability to modernize processes so the team spends less time assembling numbers and more time shaping decisions, and proven experience driving tangible business results. They should be energized by ambiguity, driving standardization across functions, and building trust in a fast-moving, matrixed environment. Responsibilities Rhythm of Business, Close & Planning Owns consolidation of the CBU financials, bringing together the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow across entities and channels into a single, coherent picture of business performance. Directs the rhythm of business calendar and governance, spanning our close cycles, monthly updates, quarterly forecast, annual operating plan, and the long-range plan. Continuously evolves the FP&A operating model, applying systems thinking to end-to-end process dependencies, stakeholder needs, governance requirements, and decision flows to reduce complexity. Drives operational excellence through process redesign, standardization, and automation, improving cycle time, insight quality, and decision velocity. Partners with Accounting and systems owners to strengthen reporting capability, data integrity, and cost and performance visibility. Storytelling & Executive Reporting Owns MBR, QBR, and Board-level reporting, converting close and forecast outcomes into enterprise narratives that tie results to the themes, drivers, and risks leadership cares about. Turns complex financial and operational dynamics into clear, executive-ready storylines that give leaders the confidence to decide and act. Delivers concise, consistent, and insight-forward reporting that provokes decisions and sharpens the recommended course of action. Process Efficiency, Automation & AI Champions the adoption of advanced analytics, modern data platforms, and AI-enabled tooling to modernize how finance produces insight, supports decisions, and scales its impact, including validation and controls over automated output. Builds and maintains dashboards and reporting that give business leaders self-service visibility into performance, reducing manual reporting effort and shortening the time from result to insight. Proactively identifies and leads improvement opportunities, automating recurring workflows, improving data quality at the source, and building repeatable analytical assets the team can rely on. Capital Investment & NPI Support Partners cross-functionally on capital investment evaluation and productivity analysis, supporting resource allocation choices that drive growth and shareholder value. Helps shape R D and product investment strategy so it connects clearly to differentiated innovation and to topline and bottom-line commitments. Supports product roadmap prioritization based on profit contribution and engineering resource constraints, working closely with Engineering and Product leaders. Models design iterations and builds the business case for new products and features based on product-market fit and expected cost reduction, supporting the stage-gate NPI process. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. 6+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or Commercial Finance. 2+ years of experience leading end-to-end corporate close and forecast processes, consolidating and reporting a multi-entity financial view, and producing the executive reporting that follows (MBR, QBR, or Board-level materials), with accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and the narrative delivered to leadership. Proven track record of delivering high-impact business results, influencing outcomes without authority. Demonstrated ability to forge strong business partnerships that shape strategy, execution, and resource decisions. Advanced financial modeling skills with expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated use of AI and automation to rebuild finance workflows and deliver measurable gains in cycle time, accuracy, and analyst capacity, including hands-on experience with tools such as Power Query, Python, and AI agents, along with the controls needed to trust the output. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large, complex data sets into meaningful business insights. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and executive stakeholders. Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar financial systems. Preferred Qualifications MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced finance credential. Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, SaaS, or commercial organizations with global operations. Experience supporting new product development as a finance partner, including business case development, product cost modeling, and stage-gate governance alongside Engineering and Product teams. Prior experience supporting capital planning, including annual budgeting, ROI analysis, and capital request approval workflows.
