Fidelity Title National Commercial Services seeks a Commercial Escrow Officer to join our team of real estate professionals in their Michigan NCS operation. This Escrow officer will oversee the closing and disbursement of high liability commercial real estate transactions. They work with multiple internal teams as well as our direct customers and consumers to get deals closed and funded. This position can be full-time or contract. Responsibilities Review documents and closing instructions submitted by attorneys and lenders for compliance and requirements to close Communicate requirements and give status updates to all parties in the transaction whether those parties are in person or remotely attending the closing Finalize settlement statements and distribute to appropriate parties Create transaction documents as required based on the requirements, instructions and details of each transaction Obtain signatures and notarize documents Work with title and underwriting to clear title exceptions Receive, disburse and obtaining funding approval for escrow closings Timely submission of accurate documents for recording Knowledge, Skills and Technology Used Strong customer focus Ability to work with others as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication Attention to detail Problem solving Familiarity of the concepts, terms, procedures and practices of real estate closings in Illinois SoftPro Select software Typical Range of Experience 4+ years' experience in title insurance or a related field involving real estate closings Escrow closing experience required Commercial transaction experience preferred SoftPro Select software experience preferred
