Job Description

Loan Officer/Loan Underwriter ONE Credit Union is committed to providing exceptional financial services while building lasting relationships with our members. We are seeking a detail-oriented and member-focused Loan Officer/Loan Underwriter to join our lending team.
Position Overview:
Interacts with members in a positive, friendly manner to complete the application process through in-depth interviews. Analyzes all aspects of the application, including financial conditions, credit rating, and affordability. Collect and review all supporting documents. Inputs loan data into processing system. Ensure all aspects are within the credit union's predetermined lending guidelines and policy. Ensure compliance and audit procedures are adhered to. Underwrites and answers all consumer loans and Visa Credit Cards in accordance with written policy while conforming to regulatory standards. Perfects collateral liens and ensures adequate insurance is in place. Prepare and perfect closing documents. Assists members with all loan questions and maintenance as needed. Cross sells other applicable loans and ONE Credit Union products and services. Assists Chief Lending Officer with home loans. Filing, data entry and other clerical duties. Complete other duties as assigned. Required High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of lending or underwriting experience in a bank or credit union. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong computer skills
Work Location:
Cheektowaga and Lackawanna, NY. Employees may work from either location based on business needs. Full-time position (37.5-40 hours per week), Monday through Friday. Two years of lending or underwriting experience in a bank or credit union. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong computer skills. Full-time position (37.5-40 hours per week), Monday through Friday.

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
