Specializing in providing financing options, including SBA microloans, we support entrepreneurs who may face challenges accessing conventional funding. As a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and SBA lender, we focus on serving women, minority entrepreneurs, and those with limited credit or collateral. UCEDC also offers free and low-cost training programs, mentorship opportunities, and assistance with government procurement through our APEX office. Over the past decade we have provided more than $20 million in loans, trained over 10,000 entrepreneurs, and helped clients secure $1.5 billion in government contracts. Job Overview As one of the country's top microlenders, UCEDC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Loan Officer to join our lending team to be a key point of contact for clients seeking business or consumer loans. This individual would also represent UCEDC at various banker / community outreach events with special emphasis on forming partnerships with banks and other financial institutions to advance these programs. Responsibilities Evaluate loan applications by analyzing credit reports, financial statements, and other relevant documentation to determine borrower eligibility. Underwrite loan applications and submit for internal approval. Prepare loan documentation and follow up on closing. Maintain current knowledge of SBA lending program requirements and SOP's as well as UCEDC lending program requirements. Accountability This position reports to the Director of Microlending. Job Skills/Requirements 3+ years small business or consumer lending experience at a bank of other financial institution. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects. Familiarity with SBA lending program requirements considered a plus. Good presentation skills, both verbal and written.

$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
