Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a Final Docs Specialist to support the post-funding documentation process for mortgage loans. This individual will be responsible for tracking and obtaining recorded documents, coordinating with title companies, county recording offices, and third-party vendors, and ensuring final loan documentation is delivered to investors and custodians accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will come from a mortgage lending, funding, or post-closing environment and be comfortable managing document follow-up activities through both phone and email communication. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Track and obtain recorded mortgage documents after loan funding. Follow up with title companies, county recording offices, and third-party service providers regarding recording status. Coordinate delivery of final recorded documents to investors and document custodians. Send and manage email communications containing loan documentation and supporting attachments. Maintain accurate records and documentation tracking logs. Assist with physical file maintenance and document purging as needed. Ensure all final documents are routed to the appropriate parties and meet required timelines. Skills and Requirements 2+ years of experience in mortgage lending operations, specifically within final documents, post-closing, funding, or loan servicing functions. Experience recording mortgage-related documents and following up with title companies, county recording offices, and third-party vendors to obtain recorded documents. Knowledge of notarized loan documents and recording requirements, with an understanding of how notarization impacts the recording process.
