Job DescriptionThe Commercial Lending Specialist II provides professional, courteous, and efficient service to Wings Commercial Services members. The Specialist II will work with limited supervision, supporting Commercial and Industrial and complex Commercial Real Estate acquisition and refinance loans. With support and direction from their leader, this role will also grow and develop their expertise in higher risk, and more complex CRE loans, including participations and construction. Essential FunctionsCoordinate and track progress for Commercial Real Estate (CRE) acquisition and refinance loan closings while supporting commercial construction and participation loan closings.

Prepare and facilitate regular meetings with lenders and analysts.

Ensure assigned tasks are completed within established timelines and escalate issues as needed.

Coordinate communications with third-party vendors, including title companies, environmental and appraisal management firms, legal counsel, and other financial institutions.

Manage commercial construction loan administration and draw processes in partnership with lenders and leadership.

Establish and maintain construction project tracking.

Balance draw requests, pay applications, and invoices against available funding sources.

Ensure progress inspections are completed.

Verify project completion aligns with project advances.

Validate collection of lien waivers, insurance documentation, and other required items to mitigate risk.

Administer commercial loan participation activities in collaboration with lenders and leadership.

Ensure all participation documentation is complete and complies with Wings approval requirements.

Communicate with participating lenders regarding loan administration and servicing matters.

Balance loan payments and advances to ensure accurate participation allocations.

Provide required financial information to participating lenders.

Verify servicing activities comply with participation agreements.

Review loan documentation, identify outstanding items, and provide feedback to lenders.

Ensure complete post-closing loan packages are assembled, maintained, and accurately recorded.

Book new commercial, construction, and participation loans into the core loan system.

Verify the work of other Specialists to ensure booking accuracy.

Establish applicable ticklers and covenant-tracking requirements.

Assemble and electronically file complete loan packages.

Monitor collateral perfection, lien protection, and servicing requirements throughout the life of the commercial and participation loan portfolio.

Track required financial covenants and reporting.

Monitor insurance coverage requirements.

Ensure recorded mortgages, assignments of leases and rents, and final title policies are received and maintained.

Manage UCC filings, renewals, and terminations.

Ensure compliance with all regulations applicable to commercial loans and deposit accounts, including:

Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) requirements for applicable loans secured by residential real estate.

Other regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements related to commercial loans and deposit accounts.

Serve as a primary point of contact for commercial members regarding loan-related questions and servicing needs.

Respond proactively to member requests, including statements, loan and deposit account inquiries, and wire transactions.

Assist with monitoring department reports to identify and communicate:

Past-due payments.

Non-sufficient funds (NSF) items.

Outstanding post-closing documentation requirements.

Support onboarding and training efforts by completing assigned training activities for new team members.

Complete special projects and departmental assignments as directed by leadership, effectively managing timelines, monitoring progress, and resolving issues.

Adhere to all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

QualificationsMinimum Formal Qualifications for this
Position:
High School Diploma/G.E.D. requiredAssociate's Degree Two-year post-secondary degree preferred3+ years of commercial loan operations or commercial servicing, preferred Required1+ years of commercial participation and commercial construction servicing experience preferred1+ Experience with CRE and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending Required1+ Experience in reviewing business financial documents

PAY RANGE
$32 to $37 Hourly + 10% Annual Target Bonus (S14). Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
