Job Description

We're looking for a Night Auditor to assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift. Night Auditor Responsibilities include checking in guests, handling their requests, and taking reservations. The Night Auditor also acts as the Hotel Representative for all guests during the overnight shift. Ultimately, you will provide excellent customer service to guests and keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Keeping accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions Handling confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity Verifying room charges and rates; verify register has appropriate starting cash Managing daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeeping report Submitting reports to corporate office as appropriate Monitoring room availability Blocking rooms and handling guest requests Performing and documenting security walks on a regular basis Having a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and implementation of procedures Performing duties of a
Guest Service Agent:
checking in and checking out guests as needed, answering all phone calls professionally, answering any and all questions pertaining to the hotel and operations and/or the local area May be required to make management decisions in the manager's absence All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Working knowledge of local area information Excellent customer service skills with an ability to resolve guest issues in a positive and professional manner Must be honest, dependable, and have reliable transportation Must be able to stand for several hours without a break Experience in Marriott systems preferred
