Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented HR & Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering payroll, maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws, and assisting with employee benefits administration. This role serves as a key resource for employees and management by providing HR support, resolving payroll-related inquiries, and helping foster a positive workplace culture. Strong organizational skills, confidentiality, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential for success. Responsibilities Manage daily, weekly and monthly payroll department operations Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and continuously review reports Ensure financial compliance with local, state and federal laws Prepare, verify, and process invoices Assist with accounting and financial questions from vendors, customers, and staff Ability to research and interpret data as well as prepare financial reports Assist with preparing monthly reconciliation for all accounts including bank reconciliations and documentation Other duties, as assigned Qualifications Automotive experience highly preferred Prior experience and proven success in all payroll functions Reynolds and Reynolds experience highly desirable Highly proficient in Excel and Outlook Superb decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and managerial skills Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and work ethic Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
