Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support accurate and timely payroll operations for a workforce in Wasco, California. This is a position suited for someone who can manage end-to-end payroll activities, maintain compliance with payroll policies, and handle employee pay matters with care and precision. The ideal candidate brings hands-on payroll experience, strong auditing skills, and confidence working with both automated and manual payroll processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Process complete payroll cycles for a mid-sized employee population, ensuring wages, deductions, and time data are calculated correctly and submitted on schedule.
  • Review payroll records for accuracy by reconciling registers, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues before final approval.
  • Administer payroll adjustments such as garnishments, withholdings, and other required deductions in accordance with applicable guidelines.
  • Maintain and update payroll information in ADP and related systems to support accurate employee compensation records.
  • Handle manual payroll entries when needed, including corrections, off-cycle payments, and special pay situations.
  • Respond to payroll-related questions from employees and internal stakeholders, providing clear and timely support.
  • Prepare payroll documentation and reports that assist with audits, recordkeeping, and management review.
  • Follow established payroll procedures and support process improvements tied to payroll operations when required.
