Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support accurate and compliant payroll operations for a large multi-state workforce based in Post Falls, Idaho. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage full-cycle payroll with precision while working closely with HR and Finance. The role focuses on timely payroll execution, record accuracy, regulatory compliance, and responsive employee support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage complete payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees on a bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly schedule across multiple states.
  • Use ADP Workforce Now to calculate pay, maintain payroll data, and verify deductions, withholdings, and tax accuracy.
  • Update and maintain employee payroll records, including direct deposit changes, garnishments, earnings adjustments, and deduction details.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Finance to coordinate payroll changes related to new hires, separations, benefits activity, and timekeeping matters.
  • Review payroll registers and supporting reports to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate final processing.
  • Support quarter-end, year-end, and audit activities by preparing reconciliations and assisting with required payroll documentation.
  • Address employee questions related to pay, deductions, and payroll variances, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor payroll practices to help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
