We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a renewable energy organization in Burlington, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for an individual who can manage part-time payroll responsibilities of 20 to 30 hours per week while ensuring timely and accurate pay processing. The position focuses on end-to-end payroll administration across multiple states and requires hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.

Responsibilities:

Process end-to-end payroll for a workforce of more than 500 employees with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness. Administer payroll activities across multiple states while applying applicable wage, tax, and compliance requirements. Use ADP Workforce Now to maintain employee payroll records, validate data, and complete regular payroll cycles. Review payroll inputs such as hours, earnings, deductions, and adjustments to ensure correct payment outcomes. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, responding to employee and internal stakeholder questions in a timely manner. Reconcile payroll data and support reporting needs related to payroll processing and record accuracy. Maintain organized payroll documentation and ensure practices align with company policies and regulatory requirements. Contribute to payroll-related process updates or system-related activities as needed within the scope of ongoing operations. Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll from data review through final payroll completion. Background processing multi-state payroll with knowledge of related compliance considerations. Hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is required. Experience supporting payroll for employee populations exceeding 500 workers. Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity of 20 to 30 hours per week. Effective problem-solving and communication skills for addressing payroll questions and discrepancies.
