This position also coordinates and administers employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, medical leave, personal leave, military leave, and other company- or legally protected leaves. The Specialist serves as a key resource for employees, Human Resources, Payroll, facility leadership, government agencies, courts, and third-party administrators. The position requires a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, organization, and knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of payroll garnishment and deduction procedures. Ability to interpret and follow legal orders and government notices. Understanding of employee leave requirements and documentation. Excellent attention to detail and data-entry accuracy. Ability to analyze information and identify discrepancies. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize work in a deadline-driven environment. Professional communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with Payroll, HR, Benefits, and facility leadership. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and maintaining tracking spreadsheets.
