Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a client in Dublin, Ohio within the oil and gas pipeline industry. This long-term contract opportunity is suited for an individual who can manage complex payroll activities accurately and efficiently across a large employee population. The role will focus on end-to-end payroll execution, with added involvement in compliance-related tasks and support for payroll system implementation efforts. This is a fully remote opportunity, but candidates are required to be on EST or CST.

Responsibilities:

• Manage complete payroll cycles for employees across multiple states, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Use Workday to maintain payroll records, process payroll transactions, and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze payroll data in Microsoft Excel to validate calculations, reconcile results, and prepare reporting.
• Support payroll operations for a workforce of more than 500 employees while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address payroll questions, correct issues, and improve processing efficiency.
• Assist with SmartCompliance-related activities and provide payroll support connected to Workday implementation initiatives.
