Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and filings to ensure accurate reporting.
- Audit and maintain compliance with remote work state regulations, including reciprocity requirements.
- Review and manage unemployment insurance across multiple states, assessing organizational status and handling reimbursable accounts.
- Respond to tax agency notifications and inquiries that require specialized attention.
- Prepare and reconcile 990 forms, aligning them with W-2 data for accurate tax reporting.
- Oversee W-2 and W-2C reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Monitor payroll cycles against compliance reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay informed on payroll tax laws to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Generate quarterly reports for third-party entities and specific state requirements such as New York and Hawaii.
- Create and submit required business tax headcount and compensation reports, along with other specialized payroll data reporting.
