Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior Functional Safety Systems Engineer to join our Compute Platform Systems team supporting the development of next-generation autonomous trucking technology. This individual will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining the functional safety case for autonomous vehicle platforms by collaborating across hardware, software, validation, cybersecurity, and operations teams. The ideal candidate is a systems-thinking engineer with deep experience in automotive functional safety standards, safety analysis methodologies, and requirements development who thrives in a highly collaborative environment. $75/hr to $80/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. Skills and Requirements 3+ years of relevant job experience A bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant degree Hands-on experience with safety analysis techniques Automotive industry experience Autonomous vehicle or ADAS safety experience Software or hardware engineering background Sensor experience involving LiDAR, radar, cameras, IMUs, or similar components Motion-control systems experience Experience working with automotive Tier 1 suppliers Requirements management experience with DOORS or Jama Jira experience Experience applying functional safety principles to Level 4 autonomous driving systems
