$33.36
•$43.36 / hour Performs investigations of incidents involving patients, including, but not limited to, the collection of evidence, creation of timelines and interviews with staff. Initiates corrective action initiatives when deficiencies are identified. 2. Reviews incidents involving patients and visitors; performs investigations as directed; and meets with patients and/or family members at the direction of Senior Administrator. 3. Assists with Agency for HealthCare Administration and other regulatory surveys and complaint investigations. 4. Assists with the preparation and coordination of risk management education activities and provides risk management education as directed. 5. Assists Senior Administrator in preparation of risk management reports, including reports to State Agencies and to Quality Committees within the Facility. 6. Assists with litigation support as directed by Senior Administrator. 7. Participates in various committees and councils at the direction of Director of Nursing or Senior Administrator. 8. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep informed of latest developments in health care risk management and in other related areas. 9. May assist with the development of State and Federal Plans of Correction that may be required following regulatory surveys and /or complaint investigations. 10. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Summary Assists in the performance of risk management services for Lee Memorial Health System.
Requirements Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years of formal education beyond high school preferred.
Experience:
Two (2) years of risk management experience involving working knowledge of health care system required. RN and/or experience in Risk Management preferred.

Requires strong computer, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of clients. Working knowledge of federal statutes governing Nursing Home operations and required reporting under 42 C.F.R.483.13. May provide on call coverage as directed.
