A Tax Specialist is responsible for documenting all stages of the accounting cycle in order to prepare Federal, State and local tax returns. Will review data prior to preparing the returns, prepare and file returns and will also provide background documentation in case of an audit.

Our private client practice is growing, and this seat puts you at the center of sophisticated, multi-entity wealth engagements - with real ownership of client relationships and a clear path to Manager. If you've spent five or more years in public accounting solving complex tax puzzles for wealthy families, this is where we will fully use your technical depth.

What you'll doPrepare and review federal, state, and international returns for

individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and S-corporationsBuild and execute proactive tax planning strategies - gift and estate planning, wealth transfer, charitable structures, and family office arrangementsOwn client engagements end-to-end: manage timelines, coordinate with wealth advisors and legal counsel, and serve as a trusted day-to-day contactResearch and resolve complex technical issues including multi-state residency, foreign investments, FATCA/FBAR, and partnership allocationsMentor and review the work of staff and seniors, providing structured feedback that accelerates their developmentSupport tax controversy, audits, and examinations, including drafting responses and settlement strategies for taxing authoritiesChampion process improvements and tax-technology adoption to increase team efficiency and client valueWhat we need5+ years of public accounting experience with a private client or HNW tax focusCPA license or active candidate with a firm completion timelineStrong technical foundation in individual, fiduciary, partnership, and estate & gift taxation, including multi-state and international issuesDemonstrated experience supervising staff and managing client engagementsClear, confident communication skills - you can translate complex tax positions for sophisticated clients and their advisorsNice to haveMaster's in Taxation or LL.M. in TaxationExperience with family office structures and closely held business planningFamiliarity with tax research platforms and workflow management systemsExposure to cross-border planning and foreign asset reportingPay & benefitsSalary:
