RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Rogers Group is currently seeking a Property Tax Analyst to join our team on-site at the corporate office in Nashville, TN. This position reports directly to the Corporate Tax Manager. The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in managing Business Personal and Real Property Tax compliance, including data preparation, return review, and coordination with external compliance partners. Receive and submit tax assessments to external compliance partners. Receive and pay tax bills in a timely manner. Maintain and validate asset and property tax data to ensure accurate and timely filings. Support audit activities by gathering documentation, preparing responses, and tracking auditor requests. Manage monthly property tax accruals, forecast, and true-ups. Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for property tax accounts. Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and taxing jurisdictions to support property tax compliance and savings initiatives. Cross train with sales and other indirect tax functions.
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's in accounting related field preferred. Strong communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
