Job Description
Senior Leasing Clerk Position demands the ability to work with people in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Person is responsible for interviewing tenants, verifying income, calculating rents, and maintaining records. Person must type and have basic clerical and computer skills. Person must be able to comprehend a system of rules and regulations and have the ability to clearly apply and explain the same. The person must be able to make decisions within the framework of procedures and regulations. In addition, the position requires reviewing procedural plans and conducting internal reviews of Public Housing and Section 8 procedures. Identifies strengths and weaknesses and makes recommendations to the Executive Director on corrective actions or improvements. This position is responsible for ensuring that all tenant files are reviewed for accuracy and incompliance with appropriate regulations. Quality control of tenant files to ensure they are prepared for auditing internally or by authorized outside reviews. Coordinates the submission and retrieval of data from the HUD and State of Connecticut computer systems. Assists in the preparation of annual budgets. Supervised by the
