Job Description
Position Overview We are partnering with a Partner Owned CPA firm who are seeking a seasoned tax professional to take ownership of complex tax engagements across diverse entity types, including partnerships, corporations, fiduciaries, tax-exempt organizations, and individuals. This role involves managing all aspects of the tax process-from strategic planning and compliance to leadership and client advisory-within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Review:
Oversee and review federal, multistate, and international tax filings for multiple entity types to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Strategic Tax Planning:
Partner with firm leadership and clients to identify tax-saving opportunities, deliver forward-thinking strategies, and provide guidance on evolving regulations.Engagement Management:
Coordinate all phases of client engagements, ensuring returns, extensions, and other compliance requirements are completed efficiently and filed by required deadlines.Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor accounting staff in the preparation of tax returns, sales tax filings, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closings while fostering professional growth and development.Audit Representation:
Manage and support tax audits, including drafting responses to notices, coordinating with tax authorities, and maintaining well-organized client documentation.Tax Research & Analysis:
Conduct research on complex transactions, emerging tax issues, and new legislation to provide informed recommendations and solutions to clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in Taxation or a related field preferred. Active CPA license or progress toward CPA certification strongly preferred. Prior experience using ProSystem Tax or OneSource Trust Tax software is advantageous.Benefits Flexible Work Options:
