Location:
Foster City, CA (hybrid) Key Responsibilities Partner with Tax SMEs to understand current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement Design future-state processes that are scalable, repeatable, and auditable, with a focus on operational efficiency, data integrity, and data readiness Document processes and controls such that an Analyst can execute the process as well as to support internal and external audit requirements Establish and enforce process, data, and documentation standards, best practices, and internal control requirements (including SOX compliance) Maintain and evolve processes by assessing impact of changes in business data or tax requirements, updating requirements, process design, and documentation as needed. Communicate effectively with Tax, Finance, and IT stakeholders by translating tax business requirements into clear process and data requirements, and explaining your process impacts and dependencies.Basic Qualifications:
8+ years withBS/BA OR
6+ years withMS/MA/MBA OR
2+ years withPhD/PharmD Preferred Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant experience supporting Tax, Finance, Controllership, or Audit processes with 3+ years in a global publicly traded corporate finance department Strong working experience with data including a solid understanding of data structures, data integrity, and the ability to troubleshoot data-related problems Advanced experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Visio, and Teams Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and process designs Experience with SAP, OneSource, and Power Query highly preferred Strong communication skills with the ability to "hear what people need" to uncover root causes Demonstrated curiosity and initiative in learning about emerging technologies and applications to Tax Self-starter with a passion for process improvement and ownership Proven project management skills including managing and prioritizing multiple simultaneous projectsPeople Leader Accountabilities:
