full-time A growing distribution company, is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to lead and manage the organization's tax function. This role is responsible for overseeing tax compliance, tax provision, planning, and risk management across the business. The Corporate Tax Manager will partner closely with finance and operational leadership to support business initiatives, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and identify opportunities for tax efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including federal, state, and local income tax, sales and use tax, and other indirect tax filings. Oversee the preparation and review of annual and quarterly tax provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies as needed. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company's operations. Lead tax planning initiatives to minimize tax exposure and support overall business strategy. Ensure accurate maintenance of tax records, workpapers, and supporting documentation. Partner with accounting and finance teams on month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes related to tax. Support audits and inquiries from taxing authorities, including managing responses and documentation. Review and improve tax processes, internal controls, and compliance procedures. Provide guidance on tax implications related to business transactions, entity structure, and expansion initiatives. Supervise and mentor tax staff, if applicable, and help develop team capabilities. Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, procurement, legal, and operations teams on tax-related matters impacting the distribution business. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MST is required 7+ years of progressive tax experience, including corporate tax experience in industry, public accounting, or a combination of both. Experience with a distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or product-based business environment preferred. Strong knowledge of corporate income tax, state and local tax, and indirect tax matters. Experience with tax provision preparation and relevant tax/accounting software. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
