Job Description

An established global organization is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its corporate tax function. This role provides technical tax expertise, business advisory support, and leadership across income tax accounting, compliance, tax planning, and audit matters. The position will partner closely with finance and accounting leadership to support strategic initiatives, executive reporting, process improvements, and tax-related projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong ASC 740 and federal income tax experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic multinational environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the quarterly and annual income tax provision process. Prepare and review current and deferred tax calculations. Analyze and document temporary and permanent tax differences. Prepare effective tax rate analyses and reconciliations. Maintain deferred tax asset and liability schedules. Evaluate deferred tax asset realizability, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions. Prepare and review tax-related journal entries. Assist with preparation of tax disclosures for financial reporting purposes. Maintain and enhance internal controls over income tax reporting and supporting documentation. Monitor developments in tax accounting standards and assess impacts to the organization. Oversee preparation, review, and filing of federal income tax and related tax returns. Coordinate tax payments, extensions, and filing requirements. Review supporting workpapers and compliance documentation. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting federal taxation. Manage return-to-provision calculations and tax account reconciliations. Partner with external advisors on compliance and technical matters. Assist with tax credit studies and other federal tax incentive initiatives. Manage federal tax examinations and information requests. Coordinate responses to inquiries from taxing authorities. Research technical tax issues and support tax positions. Maintain documentation necessary for audit support and defense. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 5+ years of progressive corporate income tax experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. federal income taxation and tax compliance requirements. Significant experience with ASC 740 and income tax accounting. Experience with tax provision software and enterprise financial systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
