Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Manager that specializes in tax planning and preparation for individuals and businesses. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have 7+ years of related experience. Additionally, they will provide expert tax guidance, ensure compliance, maintain existing client relationships and build new ones. This managerial role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced but family-friendly environment that includes a positive work-life balance.
Essential Duties:
Prepare and review individual, business and other related tax returns. Provide tax planning and projections as requested by clients. Advise clients on strategies for tax savings and their tax liabilities. Conduct tax research to stay informed about changing tax laws and regulations. Assess tax return changes and resolve amendments. Assist staff accountants on tax-related matters. Oversee staff who help with tax preparation. Maintain client and staff relationships. Answer emails and phone calls from clients in a timely manner.Preferred Education and Experience:
7+ Years experience in individual and business tax preparation. Ability to obtain a valid PTIN is required. Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent a plus. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory guidelines. Proficiency with Microsoft office products and QuickBooks. Experience with Thomson Reuters Suite a plus.About Us:
